GFL's TeamSpeak 3 server has been rebuilt!
Hello everybody, recently, we've been rebuilding GFL's TeamSpeak 3 server from scratch! It is close to 100% complete (not including the private channels).
What's New?The rebuilt TeamSpeak 3 includes many new features! Here's a list:
- Server Groups and permissions fixed and organized.
- Every channel has been remade and now has an image (Thanks,
nick027nd
)
- New channels: Help Desk (where users look for help) and Music (we will be adding a music bot to this channel).
- Supporters and VIPs will only get private channels (read below for more information).
- Now hosted on our Fast Download machine with the provider being OVH (good (D)DoS protection and the server won't be affected by an Internap Chicago DDoS).
How Will The New Private Channels System Work? This has been discussed for a long time, but we've finally made our decision. Supporters and VIPs will have channels. If your Supporter package expires, the channel will be disabled, when renewed the channel will be enabled again. VIPs can have one channel permanently. The TeamSpeak 3 channel will be included with these packages (no extra cost). Current VIPs and Supporters will be able to get a channel (you will still need to pay $5.00 a month for Supporter if you want to keep your channel, excluding VIPs).
The private channels system is not created yet and won't be available when the new TeamSpeak 3 server launches. We do not have any release date on this feature (Denros and I will have to create it). However, we may be able to set up VIP channels since they are permanent anyway and don't need a system.
When Will This TeamSpeak 3 Server Launch? Most likely today (as long as all the permissions are rechecked and good to go) because our current VDS (VPS) from NFO renews today and we have the new TeamSpeak 3 server on another machine.

What will happen to the old server?
P.S. Nice Job!
The old server will be going down.
Thanks,
Roy
RobinflewdsI call dibs on the first VIP server so its at the top of the list :3
Sorry to ask another question but
1. When will the old one go down?
2. Will all the data be transferred to the new one? My buddies and groups? (SSA, Donator, Trusted)
SoJa1. The license will be moved when the new TS3 launches tonight or tomorrow
2. No, we moved from sqlite to MySQL(MariaDB) so directly porting the information over wasn't an option, and the point of the new server was to clean up unnecessary groups.
So Tl;Dr (but for complex technological jargon 'n' such)
You have to get your groups back manually?
Time to spam to everyone to know the new IP :3
Once you guys fixed everything
And its cleaner; but I still dont understand the extra public channels xD
oh wt im going to go check it out XD

Looks good.
i may donate to get a channel. it looks very clean and organized. i'll get on when i can.
TS is close to be finished guys. Still need some little stuff to edit then it will be ready to go
So wheres the line to get my Tags back
Make sure to change the ip to ts.gflclan.com so people will know.
Otherwise good job, now it's way cleaner!
what is the difference between vip and private channels?
The new Teamspeak server is awesome love the layout don't forget to invite others to join the fun!
VIP's will get a permanent private channel, supporters will get a private channel until their payment runs out. Those are the only people who get private channels unless you are manager+
I was about to suggest something that I shouldn't suggest, I forgot that TTT#1 doesn't use Teamspeak, but skype; so its not necessary to split the TTT channel. I do not understand the point of having the Cinema channel, don't people rather have quiet than annoying noises?
To that last part, that's what I was going to say too, when I am working on Youtube videos, Sony Vegas Pro, etc, I normally have it quiet in my room and/or just have soft techno music to help me along with it.
Okay one problem I've noticed is I can't see anyone in channels (if I want to poke them/move them to our channel)
Even tho there are people in the channel
The TTT and TF2 Room #1 channels don't display who's in it. None of the channels do. Also, I can't join Help Desk room 1 or 2 with just trusted. How will people get help if they can't move in?
Should be fixed now, thanks for reporting it!
Also i changed the Member/Supporter/VIP/Server Admin tags to fitting the forum colors
When are Supporter/VIP rooms coming out? Also, how will they work? As far as I know I don't think that anyone would be able to join them if you are only Trusted, unless you were moved in.
(maybe just being stupid right now, tired af)
You click subscribe its right next to the contact/overwolf thing. it looks like a chat box with a checkmark.
You subscribe it and you can see everyone c:
The higher up will be giving out the tags and they'll be explaining about how the tags would be done.
As for the channels, I think they're fixing everything first before doing so; like editing permissions.
Is there going to be a final release date for the supporter pack private channels? Keep me posted! thanks!
